Our Story
The Northern California Education Foundation (NCEF) was founded in 2009 on a simple belief — that education has the power to transform lives and communities.
What began as a small effort to help local students overcome financial barriers has grown into a thriving nonprofit dedicated to advancing educational equity for California Northstate University (CNU) students. Through scholarships, mentorship, and community partnerships, NCEF supports students from all walks of life — empowering them to pursue higher education, discover their purpose, and give back to their communities.
We know that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. That’s why our work focuses on bridging gaps, removing barriers, and creating pathways for those who might otherwise be left behind. Each scholarship awarded is more than financial support — it’s a message of belief, encouragement, and hope.
