SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS EXTENDED DEADLINE

Dear all,
Due to some significant weather systems that have hit Northern California, some students may have been affected impeding their ability to submit scholarship applications.
NCEF has decided to extend the deadline of the scholarship applications until January 13th 2023.
The application cycle will close officially on 1/13/23 at 23:59.

DR. KEVIN DONG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
November 28th 2022
California Northstate University, College of Pharmacy's professor, Dr. Kevin Dong, passed away on November 3rd 2022. NCEF and COP honor him with the inception of the Dr. Kevin Dong Memorial Scholarship with the goal to raise $20,000 to fund an annual $500 scholarship in his name.
Here is an excerpt of Dean Xiaodong Feng's message:
When I heard the shocking news, our beloved and energetic Dr. Kevin Dong passed away on Thursday November 3rd, 2022, I couldn't control myself to stop the tears. My mind went blank. I kept telling myself it was impossible, this was not true. How can I face this cruel reality: such a energetic and fresh life suddenly vanished in the best years of life.
Kevin’s life was a life of dedication with splendor, vitality, and achievements. He dedicated his life with relentless pursuit for his family, pharmacy profession and community. He left us with endless, beautiful memories enriched by his talents, positive energy and tireless services, but now it is so hard for us to fill up the blanks left by Kevin.
As Kevin’s teachers, mentors, friends, colleagues and community service partners, we already miss him badly!
Life entangles dream, dream enriches life;
Awakening from a dream of red dust, the memory stays here missing a tireless dreamer;
Swaying past gone with wind seeing a warrior chasing dreams in the heavenly light;
Left a broken heart to say goodbye to a soul with overflowing love forever!
